Jordanian official media denied this evening, Saturday, that Prince Hamzah bin Al-Hussein is under home residency and not detained, as some media outlets report.And the official Jordanian News Agency, Petra, citing its informed source, confirmed that “Prince Hamzah bin Al-Hussein is neither under home residency nor detained, as some media outlets report.”Prince Hamzah is the brother of the Jordanian monarch, King Abdullah II, and the son of the late monarch, King Hussein bin Talal, from his fourth wife, Queen Noor Al-Hussein, and was crown prince in the Kingdom from 1999 to 2004. The Jordanian authorities arrested this evening, Saturday, escorts and close associates of Prince Hamzah, brother of the Jordanian monarch, King Abdullah II, for security reasons. The Jordanian News Agency (Petra), quoting a security source, said: The Jordanian citizens, Sharif Hassan Bin Zaid, and in the name of Ibrahim Awad Allah, were arrested.She added, that the arrest took place after close security follow-up, explaining that the investigation of the file is still continuing. Basem Awadallah was the head of the Jordanian royal court from November 2007 to October 2008, and is currently the CEO of Tamouh, which is based in Dubai.
